THE COCKROACH TALKS

Satyameva Jayate

Constitution & Foundation

Understanding the constitutional and legal foundation that guides Cockroach Janta Party's mission for truth, transparency, and accountability.

The Indian Constitution: Our Foundation

The Constitution of India is the supreme law of India and the foundation of our work. It guarantees fundamental rights and freedoms that form the basis of Cockroach Janta Party's mission.

Article 14: Equality Before Law

"The State shall not deny to any person equality before the law or the equal protection of the laws within the territory of India."

This fundamental right ensures equal treatment for all citizens regardless of caste, creed, religion, or status. CJP's commitment to non-discrimination and equal access to information directly derives from this principle.

Article 19: Freedom of Speech & Expression

"All citizens shall have the right to freedom of speech and expression."

The cornerstone of CJP's platform. Citizens have the constitutional right to express themselves, share information, and criticize the government. CJP provides the infrastructure for citizens to exercise this fundamental right responsibly and safely.

Article 21: Right to Life & Liberty

"No person shall be deprived of his life or personal liberty except according to procedure established by law."

Interpreted to include the right to privacy, dignity, and access to information. CJP respects citizens' privacy while enabling them to hold governments and institutions accountable through information sharing.

Articles 25-28: Freedom of Religion

Citizens have the right to freely profess, practice, and propagate religion.

CJP is explicitly non-religious and non-sectarian. We do not promote or oppose any religion. Our platform welcomes citizens of all faiths united by commitment to truth and accountability.

Articles 32 & 226: Right to Constitutional Remedies

Citizens can petition the Supreme Court and High Courts for protection of fundamental rights.

CJP provides a platform for citizens to report violations and seek accountability, complementing the formal legal remedies available through the courts.

Article 51A: Fundamental Duties

Citizens also have duties: to uphold the Constitution, respect the national flag, cherish unity, promote harmony, and develop scientific thinking.

CJP's community guidelines reflect these fundamental duties. We encourage responsible information sharing, fact-based discourse, and respect for diverse views.

Supporting Legal Framework

Right to Information Act 2005

Gives citizens the statutory right to request information from public authorities. CJP complements this by aggregating publicly available government data and performance metrics, making accountability information more accessible.

Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023

Modern criminal law framework that protects citizens from defamation, false speech, and harassment. CJP's content policy respects these legal boundaries while maximizing free expression.

Information Technology Act 2000 & Rules 2021

Governs digital platforms and data protection in India. CJP operates as an intermediary under Section 79 of the IT Act, implementing good-faith moderation and protecting user privacy under IT Act 2000, Section 43A.

Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996

Disputes between CJP and users are governed by Indian law and resolved through arbitration under this Act, in courts of India. We believe in fair, transparent dispute resolution.

The Preamble: Our North Star

"We, the people of India, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a sovereign democratic republic and to secure to all its citizens justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity."

The Preamble encapsulates the constitutional vision that guides CJP. We believe in:

  • Justice: Holding institutions accountable, ensuring fair treatment
  • Liberty: Freedom to express, investigate, and report truth
  • Equality: Equal access to information regardless of status or background
  • Fraternity: Building community through shared commitment to truth and democracy

Our Constitutional Commitment

CJP is built on the foundation of the Indian Constitution. We are committed to upholding every citizen's constitutional rights while respecting their fundamental duties. Together, we work to make "Satyameva Jayate"—Truth Alone Triumphs—a lived reality.
